Let the notice
reach every phone.
You connect your own provider account and send the text message from your workspace. The delivery report comes back to the record; SMS is one-way, the reply does not come through the same channel.
What the SMS module does
From connecting the provider to reading the delivery report, all of it happens inside Workinno.
A one-way notice channel
In this product SMS is an outbound channel: you send, and the customer cannot write back through it. Short messages are used for order, appointment and payment notices. Because you know the limit up front, you do not wait for an answer by SMS.
Your own provider account
You connect your SMS provider account with your own credentials. The sender name and the invoice stay in your name; nobody sits in between. Because the account is yours, you set your own volume and tariff.
Delivery report
The status your provider returns for each message is written into the record. You see delivered, undelivered and timed-out messages separately. Because the report comes back, you notice a wrong number before the next send.
Character set and message parts
When you use letters outside the basic set, the message switches to another encoding and fewer characters fit into a part. Workinno shows how many parts it is while you type. Seeing the part count up front means the cost of a message is never a surprise.
The number comes from the customer record
You send the message straight to the number on the customer record. The send shows up on that person’s card. Because the number comes from the record, no digit goes astray while copying.
Ready-made message texts
You keep the notices you send often as ready-made texts. An appointment reminder or a shipping notice drops into the compose box with one click. Because the text is already there, the same sentence is not written again each time.
Send history
Which message went out when and by whom stays on the record. You read the notices sent to the same customer in order. Because the history is written down, there is no argument about whether it was sent.
Disconnecting
When you disconnect the provider account, no new message goes out. What you sent before stays in your records. Even if you detach the account, your send history stays where it is.

Frequently asked questions
Can a customer answer me by SMS?
Not today. In this product SMS is a one-way notice channel; for conversations where you expect an answer you use the messaging channels.
Which provider does it work with?
You connect your Netgsm account with your own credentials. The sender name and the invoice stay in your name.
Can I see whether the message arrived?
You can. The delivery status returned by the provider is written into the record: delivered, not delivered or timed out.
What do special characters change?
They change the encoding and fewer characters fit into a part. You see how many parts it is while you type.
How long can a message be?
The upper limit is 1530 characters; that is about ten joined parts.
Can I send a bulk SMS campaign?
This module is for one-by-one notices. Bulk sending is a separate matter and is not done on this channel.
Can I attach a photo?
You cannot. SMS is text only; if you need to share an image you use the messaging channels.
If I disconnect, is the history deleted?
It is not. New sends stop, but what you sent before stays in your records.
Let the news be in your hands.
Connect your provider and let the notice go out from the record. Whether it arrived, you see in the report.
